REKONSTRUKCE PRŮCHODU SLEZÁK
Reconstruction of the Passage
The first stage of work inspired by Škrabal's renovation study is the transformation of the former hotel corridor of the Slezák House into a public passage. This new pedestrian link has quickly become the most vibrant connection between the historic town centre and the neighbourhood across the Loučná River.
Renovation began in 2021, guided by the successful design of Ing. Arch. Jindřich Škrabal. The project focuses on restoring the corridor's architectural character while improving accessibility and creating an inviting route for both residents and visitors.
Step by step, the once‑hidden interior has been revitalised — with fresh lighting, restored surfaces, and carefully selected details enhancing its historic charm. The renewed passage now blends heritage with contemporary function, giving new life to a key urban connection.
